Product Information
The main difference between cold sawing and friction sawing lies in their cutting methods. In friction sawing, a high-speed rotating saw blade made of manganese steel rubs against the workpiece, producing a lot of friction and generating high temperatures. This causes burn marks to appear on the surface of the workpiece. On the other hand, cold sawing uses a high-speed steel saw blade that rotates slowly to cut and mill the welded pipe, resulting in no burrs and noise.
To summarize, while both methods are effective in cutting through materials, they achieve results in different ways. Friction sawing relies on high-speed rotation and rubbing action to cut the workpiece, resulting in high temperatures and burn marks. In contrast, cold sawing uses a slower rotation to achieve a cleaner, more precise cut without leaving burrs or excess noise.
Features
The Cold Saw Blade for Steel Bar is capable of a fast sawing speed, providing an optimized cutting efficiency that results in a high work efficiency. The blade's low yaw ensures that the steel pipe being sawed has a smooth section without any burrs, improving the overall accuracy of the workpiece. Additionally, the saw blade's lifespan is maximized. The use of a cold milling sawing method generates minimal heat, reducing the risk of internal stress or material structure changes at the cut section. Moreover, the small pressure exerted by the saw blade on the steel pipe prevents any deformation of the pipe wall orifice, making it a highly efficient and reliable option for various cutting applications.
Application
This cutting tool is ideal for slicing through mild and low carbon steel bars, as well as thick-walled tubes made of low alloy steel.
